The goal: Amplify the voices of student creatives at Syracuse University. Curate a unique, compelling, and high-quality magazine that draws readers in and leaves them wanting more.
The plan: Go old school. Put the laptops away print every submission, lay them out on the floor and manually select, edit, and curate each piece so it can shine. Build a group of talented designers and editors who can helm the ship after my graduation. Invest in the future of the magazine.
The result: A beautiful magazine full of art for the sake of art.
Perception Magazine
As Editor-in-Chief, I had the delightful opportunity to speak directly to our audience. As I compiled this portfolio, I expected to feel an overwhelming sense of blech when re-reading my letter from my senior year of college.
To my delightful surprise, I stand by it.
(except for my really annoying use of the word “rapacious”)
